Recently, the general office of the People's Government of Hunan Province issued the "Notice on several policies and measures to support Chenzhou City to build a national sustainable development agenda innovation demonstration area" (hereinafter referred to as "Policy Measures")., and put forward ten measures to support the construction of Chenzhou national sustainable development agenda innovation demonstration area, build "green water and green mountains demonstration area", "green transformation demonstration area" and "inclusive development pilot area", comprehensively improve the water security capacity, and promote the sustainable utilization and green development of water resources.

The "Policy Measures" include promoting water ecological restoration and protection, promoting efficient utilization of water resources, strengthening comprehensive management of mines, accelerating green transformation of industries, improving comprehensive bearing capacity of the park, strengthening infrastructure construction, enhancing scientific and technological innovation capacity, expanding the level of opening up, deepening reform of system and mechanism, and strengthening financial security.

According to the "Policy Measures", no less than 20 million yuan of pollution prevention and control project funds will be arranged in Dongjiang River Basin every year for three consecutive years from the date of policy release. The policy required to support the counties and cities in the demonstration area to develop water-saving society and water-saving city construction, and strictly implement the water resource demonstration and water-saving evaluation system in major planning and project construction layout.

At the same time, Chenzhou will support the construction of "industrial resources comprehensive utilization base" and "green mine demonstration area" in the demonstration area, as well as the pilot of comprehensive land remediation and ecological restoration in the whole area; support the demonstration zone to apply for the establishment of a number of national and provincial green parks and factories, and accelerate the upgrading of industries such as new materials, electronic information, equipment manufacturing, intelligent manufacturing, food and medicine, and comprehensive utilization of solid waste resources.

In addition, Chenzhou will also support the construction of key scientific and technological innovation projects in the demonstration zone; will build a pilot area for Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Great Bay Area, and support the cooperation with Great Bay Area in setting up provincial projects in the demonstration area.
